Chief Information Commissioner, Punjab











Mr. Mahboob Qadir Shah

(11th May 2018 –Till Date)

Mr. Mahboob Qadir Shah was appointed as Chief Information Commissioner, Punjab on 30th May 2018.

He is a law graduate & served as District & Session Judge, DG Human Rights Punjab, and Solicitor to Govt. of the Punjab and Registrar Lahore High Court, Lahore for about 32 years. He also served as Secretary Red Crescent Society Punjab, a humanitarian & charitable organization, for his love for social & humanitarian service.

He joined Punjab Information Commission as a mission to implement civil society’s cherished desire of “access to information” reflected in the shape of “Right to Information Act 2013”.

He urges the exercise of sacred right of access to information with-in reasonable restrictions of law as stipulated under Article 19-A of the Constitution ensuring prompt delivery of service to the complainants with genuine & severe grievances, though limited human and financial resources of the Commission.

He firmly believes that a qualitative change can be brought about in the lives of citizens and also the governance of public bodies by infusing positive RTI Spirit in each citizen & implementation of law in its letter and spirit; the same is his Mission Statement.

Mr. Saeed Akhtar Ansari

Mr. Saeed Akhtar Ansari  has served in the majority Punjab Government Departments at different levels of admisitrative hierarchy from mid-level to top-level.



Mr. Hassan Iqbal

Mr. Hassan Iqbal has a vast and precious experience in Public Policy Making, implementation and Projects Support. He productively performed at prestigious posts as Federal Secretary, Provincial Secretary and at various Field assignments. 
Since 1995 he has capitalized on vast knowledge and valuable experience of Civil Society support as a President of Qadir Foundation, Bhakkar, and worked as Project Director at Punjab Rural Support Program a Non-Government organization, to support eminent social causes.
